Founded in 1927, the initial Castañer workshop transformed a shoe of humble origins into a refined product intricately connected to design and fashion. A significant moment occurred in the 1970s when Castañer collaborated with Yves Saint Laurent, leaving an indelible mark on the fashion world by crafting the first wedge espadrille. Despite their product reaching global recognition after 90 years, their essence remains as authentic as it was in 1927: rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and the use of natural materials.
